A vote on whether to allow the creation of GM babies with three or four parents. MPs had liberty to vote according to their conscience.
The details
On 3 February 2015 the House of Commons debated the Human Fertilisation and Embryology (Mitochondrial Donation) Regulations 2015.
Despite serious safety and ethical concerns raised by a number of MPs, the regulations were approved by 384 to 130.
