Jessica Khan talks to Sam Webster, The Christian Institute’s in house lawyer, about last week’s decision by the Scottish Parliament to assign a ‘named person’, or ‘state guardian’ to every child under the age of 18. The ‘State Guardian’ provision is contained within the Children and Young People (Scotland) Bill, and has been causing huge controversy in the media, and from parents who see the new law as state interference and a threat to family life. The Christian Institute have said they are to launch a judicial review of the provision. Sam Webster explains why.
