John Newton

Brian Edwards tells the remarkable story of John Newton, the 18th Century slave trader who converted to Christianity. Newton is best known for his hymn writing, including ‘Amazing Grace’. But he was also instrumental in counselling abolitionist, William Wilberforce, to stay in politics when others were saying it was no place for a Christian. Brian Edwards is the author of a number of books, including ‘Through Many Dangers: The Story of John Newton’.
