US museum invites families to ‘playful demon summoning session’

An art museum in the US has hosted a “playful demon summoning session” where families are encouraged to connect with the ‘demons’ of their thoughts.

The Walker Art Centre in Minneapolis featured the performance of ‘Lilit the Empathic Demon’ during a free entry day at the museum. After creating a vessel to ‘trap their demon’, families were shown how to use “Babylonian techniques” and “somatic movement meditation” in the summoning ceremony.

The event description claimed: “Demons have a bad reputation, but maybe we’re just not very good at getting to know them.”

Tamar Ettun, who created the project, has an ongoing art exhibition branded “How to Trap a Demon” and sells the book ‘Texts from Lilit: 31 Cards to Connect You to Your Demon’ on her website.

The deck includes “demon drawings and somatic exercises, which correspond to the movement of planets and astrological archetypes” to use as “tools to connect with your inner demons”.

In addition, Ettun provides a phone number you can text “SUMMON” to in order to correspond with Lilit.

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”. Luke 10:17-18
