America’s largest abortion provider has been caught on camera admitting that it only offers ultrasounds to its clients for abortions.
Live Action News released the footage earlier this week which included interviews with former Planned Parenthood managers.
It comes after the abortion giant’s international arm was recently blocked from promoting or providing abortions in overseas countries.
Exposed
The videos contain numerous examples of cases where women have been told that ultrasounds are only provided for abortions.
It revealed that out of 68 facilities, only three said they would use ultrasound to check the baby’s health.
Planned Parenthood currently receives over 500 million of US taxpayer dollars and CEO Cecile Richards has persistently claimed that prenatal care is provided at its facilities.
‘Beating heart’
However, investigative evidence shows four cases of women being explicitly told that prenatal care was not offered at Planned Parenthood facilities.
President and Founder of Live Action Lila Rose said: “One would think a corporation that constantly touts its care for women, uses ‘parenthood’ in its name, and has ultrasound machines would want to ensure healthy pregnancies by allowing women to access ultrasounds to monitor the development of their babies.”
“But showing a woman an ultrasound image would reveal the beating heart as well as moving arms and kicking legs, destroying the ‘clump of cells’ myth Planned Parenthood perpetuates to try to make abortion easier to accept,” she added.
Controversy
In an earlier controversy in 2015, numerous videos were released appearing to show Planned Parenthood executives engaged in unethical behaviour.
In one, a senior doctor is shown discussing the price of babies’ vital organs over lunch.
Another shows a woman – Holly O’Donnell – talking about seeing a brain being taken out of a baby whose heart was still beating after an abortion.
The undercover videos were produced by The Center for Medical Progress.
Taxpayer money
Last week, the “Mexico City Policy” was reinstated by President Trump which will prevent US taxpayer money from being used by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) which promote or participate in abortion overseas. This includes Planned Parenthood International.
It will also ban NGOs from advocating pro-abortion laws abroad.
For the last eight years US taxpayer money has been funding abortions in overseas countries.
