Free speech clause to ‘gay hate’ law attracts support
Last night 169 MPs voted to support a free speech protection to the Government’s proposed offence of inciting hatred on grounds of sexual orientation, but the amendment was defeated.

Churches to be consulted in review of blasphemy law
An attempt to repeal the blasphemy law in the House of Commons has been withdrawn after the Government indicated it would support repeal in the Lords.
