Homosexual adoption has rocketed in the past four years, with one in ten adoptive children now being placed in same-sex households.
Government figures show that 460 children were adopted by same-sex couples in England in the twelve months up to March this year, compared to 160 for the 12 months ending March 2012 – a rise of more than 180 per cent.
The increasing prevalence of same-sex adoption comes despite evidence that children suffer when deprived of a mother or a father.
Gay adoption drive
The figures show that, between April 2015 and March 2016, 200 children were placed with male or female couples in civil partnerships.
Seventy children were placed with couples in same-sex marriages.
And 190 children were placed with same-sex couples who were not in a formal relationship.
A drive towards gay adoption has also been witnessed in Scotland, with one national agency pledging to place 20 per cent of children with gay couples earlier this year.
Vacuum
In the US, adults who grew up in LGBT households have spoken of the vacuum in their childhoods caused by their missing father or mother.
Katy Faust, who was brought up by her mother and her lesbian partner, told Alliance Defending Freedom: “Every child craves the love and involvement of their father.”
“Kids are made to be loved and adored, cherished and known by both of their parents. It’s the emotional food that kids need.”
’Something’s wrong’
Robert Oscar Lopez, who was also raised by a lesbian couple, said: “The idea is so powerful in your head that there is a father and a mother out there, I mean how can you erase that?
“You can keep the child in a bubble, move into a lesbian neighbourhood, have them only talk to people who approve of lesbian families.
“You can erase every single book ever written in the history of mankind that includes references to a father and a mother and the kid will still reach the age of 12 or 13 and know that something’s wrong.”
Political correctness
The Christian Institute has argued that the Government is pandering to political correctness in its promotion of same-sex adoption.
There are many married couples who are suitable to adopt, but some have been rejected because they were too fat, too rich, had too many books or went to church.
