On Thursday 22 October at 12.30pm, we’re holding a joint 45-minute webinar with Greater Love and Evangelical Times on the Westminster Government’s draft Bill to criminalise so-called conversion practices.

The proposed law is not about tackling abuse – since that is already illegal – but about making it a crime not to affirm someone’s LGBTQ+ identity. The threat to ordinary church work and family life is obvious. The freedom to share the Gospel is at stake.

Under the proposals, a parent who refuses to affirm their child as ‘trans’, or a pastor who prays – at their request – with a church member struggling with same-sex desires, could face up to five years in prison.

The Joint Committee of MPs and Peers scrutinising the draft Bill is seeking evidence from the public. We need your help to ensure the Committee understands just how unwanted and dangerous these proposals are.
