Redefinition of marriage
Same-sex marriage became legal in England and Wales in 2013. Under the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act, the first same-sex marriages took place on 29 March 2014.
For the first time in our nation’s history there is a legal understanding of marriage which is fundamentally contrary to the Bible.
The Christian Institute undertook a lengthy campaign opposing the change including spearheading the Coalition for Marriage (C4M) campaign group.
